Advanced Electronics Expands Engineering Department

One Year on…

To coincide with the building’s official opening and major investment in development, Advanced would like to welcome the latest additions to our engineering team in Barnsley. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Harrison and Licinio Goncalves as Trainee Hardware/Software Engineers, Gary Stevenson and Peter Bell (Hardware/Software Engineers) and Li Bailey and Allan Reid as dedicated specialist software engineers. We wish them all success in their future roles.

Heavily investing in development, Dave Wilson ‘Engineering Manager’ said “The new engineers are very enthusiastic and are integrating well with the established team. They are already contributing to the development of new products and maintaining the advanced specifications of our current product ranges”.

Profile: Li Bailey; Hardware/Software Engineer

Li, who lives near Huddersfield (West Yorkshire), has over fifteen years experience in electronics. Studying from afar in China, Li gained an Engineering degree in electronics at Beijing University. Li moved on to Lecture students at a teaching college, also in Beijing, then finally headed west to England in 2002. Li has since worked in an electronic software environment for other fire panel manufacturers before joining Advanced in January.

Li's friendly and enthusiastic personality will stand her in good stead with the team in Barnsley, whilst her professional approach will surely lead her onto a successful career in R&D.

Li said “I’m excited at this opportunity and impressed with the product’s quality and features. It is a challenging task with new and existing protocols but I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead”.
