Advanced Metal Fabrication..

Last month we finalised the commissioning of our new Metal Fabrication plant.

The plant represents a significant investment for the company and incorporates the latest state of the art CAD - CAM manufacturing equipment linked directly into our existing engineering systems together with dedicated powder coating and plating facilities for any special finishes.

The plant allows lean manufacturing and a continuous flow of materials throughout to provide a complete ‘in-house’ manufacturing solution. Product can be built to customers specific requirements without the need to buy in from other suppliers, thus reducing the impact on lead times and providing better customer service. By reducing the reliance on outside suppliers, we also reduce the impact on the surrounding environment inline with our environmental policies.

Ray Hope (Managing Director) said “It was a logical expansion of our existing production operation and supports our lean manufacturing philosophy allowing a continuous demand driven flow of materials throughout the operation to provide a complete ‘in-house’ manufacturing solution."

Fabrications Manager John Moat commenting on the operation said, “The new plant has allowed us to be more responsive to our customers needs and to better manage quality control. It is an excellent addition to our manufacturing operation.”

Advanced Electronics has increased its workforce for the new Metal Fabrication plant to include several highly qualified fabrication engineers, welders and production staff.
